Bill Clinton: Laken Riley Would Still Be Alive If Biden-Harris Admin Vetted Immigrants
Just when it seemed that Kamala Harris’ campaign woes couldn’t get any worse, former President Bill Clinton admitted that the death of a Georgia girl, allegedly at the hands of an illegal alien, is the fault of the Biden-Harris border invasion.
The moment came on Sunday when the 42nd president was campaigning for Harris-Walz in Central Georgia and referenced Laken Riley, a 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student whom Jose Ibarra allegedly murdered earlier this year. As The Federalist reported, Ibarra illegally entered the United States in 2022.
In a blow to Harris’ narrative as a “tough on crime” prosecutor who’s serious about border security, the former president acknowledged that Riley would still be alive had the Biden-Harris administration fulfilled its job in vetting foreign nationals entering the country.
“You had a case in Georgia not very long ago, didn’t you? They made an ad about it, about a young woman who had been killed by an immigrant. Yeah, well, if they’d all been properly vetted that probably wouldn’t have happened,” Clinton said.
According to CBS News, Ibarra was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials on Sept. 8, 2022. That was three days before Harris went on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and told then-host Chuck Todd she believed the U.S.-Mexico border was “secure.”
“The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular, over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed,” Harris said.
Todd responded by citing the fact that the United States would see more than “two million people cross this border for the first time ever” that year, and again asked the vice president if she was “confident” the border was “secure.”
“We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration,” Harris replied before advocating for giving amnesty to the millions of illegal aliens residing in the United States.
Clinton’s verbal slip occurred the same day the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), the official union representing the U.S. Border Patrol, announced its endorsement of former President Donald Trump for the White House.
“If we allow border czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country is going to go to hell,” NBPC President Paul Perez said while speaking to Trump rallygoers in Arizona. “The untold millions of people unvetted, who she has allowed into this country that are committing murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries and every other crime will continue to put our country in peril.”
Federal immigration authorities confirmed to Congress last month that more than 647,000 illegal immigrants convicted or suspected of sexual assault, homicide, and other heinous crimes are roaming free in the United States as of July.
