French-made armor destroyed in Russia (VIDEO)

The Russian National Guard has released a video of Ukraine’s VAB personnel carrier being hit by a drone

The Russian troops have destroyed a French-made VAB armored personnel carrier in the Kursk Region, Russia’s National Guard said on Telegram on Wednesday, publishing a video of the successful hit. The Western-supplied Ukrainian vehicle was struck by a kamikaze drone.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in its daily update that the Ukrainian forces lost more than 350 soldiers and 25 pieces of equipment in Russia’s Kursk Region over the past 24 hours, including a tank and an infantry fighting vehicle.

Moscow’s troops are continuing their operations aimed to push the Ukrainians out of the border region, which was invaded by Kiev’s forces in early August.

Although the Ukrainian army had managed to overrun several villages and capture the city of Sudzha during the early days of their rapid incursion, the Russian troops have since liberated more than a dozen settlements in the area.

Developed in the 1970s, the VAB has been described by its manufacturer Arquus as “an iconic vehicle for the French Army.” Ukraine reportedly has dozens of such vehicles.

According to Russia’s National Guard, its soldiers previously destroyed many other Western-supplied systems, including US-made Stryker and M113 armored vehicles, as well as British-made FV432s.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that no amount of foreign aid would stop its forces in Ukraine and would only increase the risks of a direct confrontation between Russia and NATO.
