Rocket shrapnel wounds five, damages buildings, a bus in Tel Aviv area
One projectile crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon, with a hit identified, likely from interception debris, the IDF said on Monday, following the multiple rocket sirens sounded across central Israel, including Tel Aviv, starting at 8:45 p.m. local time.
Five people sustained wounds from shrapnel and were being transferred to the Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus in Petah Tikva, Magen David Adom (MDA) reported.
A 54-year-old woman was in serious condition, one person in moderate condition, and three sustained light wounds, MDA added.
Israel Police stated that the barrage caused damage to several buildings and an empty bus nearby. Israeli media reported that a fire had erupted in Ramat Gan following a hit.
Tel Aviv District forces have begun conducting searches to rule out the possibility of trapped individuals, police said.
Sirens blared in the Gush Dan, Sharon, and Shfela areas.

Drone infiltration in North
Shortly following the sirens in central Israel, hostile aircraft intrusion alerts sounded in the Haifa area. The military subsequently noted it had intercepted a drone that had entered Israeli territory from Lebanon.
Later, hostile aircraft intrusion alerts were triggered in Eilat which the IDF subsequently said were a false alarm.
This is a developing story.
