UNIFIL, IDF confirm Italian soldiers wounded by Hezbollah rockets
The rocket attack on a bunker and logistics area used by the international military police, which wounded four Italian soldiers, was likely carried out by Hezbollah or an affiliated terrorist group, UNIFIL confirmed on Friday.
The rockets, likely launched by Hizbullah or affiliated groups, impacted a bunker and a logistics area used by the international military police, causing significant damage to nearby infrastructure.

Hezbollah’s attacks on UNIFIL bases
The IDF also confirmed on Saturday that one of the many rockets fired by Hezbollah on Friday hit and damaged a UNIFIL post in Chamaa, southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah fired the rockets from the area of Deir Qanoun in southern Lebanon, the military reported.
It noted that Friday’s attacks came after Hezbollah caused damage to the UNIFIL posts in Ramyeh and Chamaa on Tuesday.
Italy had initially blamed the attack on Israel, Barrons reported on Friday. Last week, Italy said an unexploded artillery shell hit the base of UNIFIL base, putting the blame on the IDF.
UNIFIL agreed with the IDF report that these strikes were from Hezbollah, saying the rocket was “fired most likely by non-state actors within Lebanon.”
