Biden White House mulls pre-emptive pardons for Anthony Fauci, Adam Schiff and Liz Cheney: report

President Biden’s top aides are reportedly weighing the idea of issuing pre-emptive pardons to current and former government officials ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration next month.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), Sen.-elect Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Dr. Anthony Fauci are among those being discussed as potentially needing a pardon before Trump takes office, according to Politico.

Fauci has been accused by Republicans and watchdog groups of lying to Congress about the origins of COVID-19 and his use of a private email account to conduct government business.

Cheney, an outspoken critic of the president-elect, was a leading figure in the House of Representatives’ investigation into Trump’s role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol Building.

Schiff, a congressman elected to the Senate last month, has long peddled accusations about the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 election cycle.

The pardon discussions have been spearheaded by White House counsel Ed Siskel and have involved other top West Wing officials, including chief of staff Jeff Zients, but Biden, 82, has not yet been involved in the deliberations, the outlet reported on Wednesday.

One of the concerns being weighed is whether doling out blanket pardons to people who haven’t been charged with a crime would suggest impropriety.

White House officials are also aware that those being offered pre-emptive pardons may reject them. —>READ MORE HERE

Aaron Rodgers recalls losing ‘friendships, family’ over his controversial views: ‘It was heartbreaking’:

Aaron Rodgers recalls losing friends and family over his controversial views in his new three-part Netflix series, “Enigma.”

On Tuesday, Netflix released a trailer for the upcoming series, which follows the New York Jets quarterback’s attempt to rebound after his career was affected by his Achilles heel injury in September 2023 and his controversies.

The clip starts with the New York Jets quarterback detailing how he lives between two being an extrovert and an introverted “lover of silence,” adding, “I’m trying to beat back Father Time and the expectations.”

The trailer then jumps to clips of him losing his temper on the field, as well as news excerpts that call him an anti-vaxxer.

“Aaron Rodgers ain’t for everybody,” sports journalist Stephen A. Smith says in the trailer as another commentator adds, “Rodgers has shared controversial and crazy conspiracy theories.”

“Losing friendships, family. It was heartbreaking,” Rodgers, 41, seemingly says in response to his reputation.

The trailer alludes to the fair share of drama that the NFL player has been involved in through the years, including an estrangement from his family.

His father, Ed Rodgers, previously claimed Aaron stopped speaking to their family after he started dating Olivia Munn in 2014.

His brother, Jordan Rodgers, also slammed him for not checking in on their family during the 2014 wildfires in California but donating $1 million to victims. —>READ MORE HERE
