149 combat engagements in the last day: Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy over 400 occupants in the Pokrovsk sector:
There were 149 combat engagements in the frontline, the hottest spot was in the Pokrovsk sector with 48 attacks. Ukrainian defenders destroyed 425 occupants and enemy military equipment.
Since the beginning of the day on December 28, 149 combat engagements have taken place at the front. In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy attacks today, and one battle is currently underway. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 22:00 in Telegram, UNN reports.

It is noted that the Russian invaders engaged 765 kamikaze drones and carried out almost 3,800 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements.

The situation on the routes:
On the Kharkiv direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units near Vovchansk three times without success.
In the Kupyansk sector, the aggressor conducted offensive actions near Hlushkivka and Lozova. Ukrainian troops stopped three enemy attacks. Another firefight is ongoing.
In the Liman sector, Russian invaders attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 19 times near Hrekivka, Pershotravneve, Nadiya, Tverdokhlibove, Kopanky, Novoyehorivka, Novoplatonivka and Makiivka. Four firefights are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy attacked our positions near Stupochky and Chasovyi Yar 14 times. Two firefights are ongoing.
In the Toretsk sector, our troops repelled three enemy attacks in the area of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Two more engagements are ongoing.
In the Pokrovske sector, since the beginning of the day, the enemy attacked 48 times in the areas of Zelene Pole, Vovkove, Novoyelizavetivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zelene, Pokrovsk, Novyi Trud, Pervyi May and Shevchenko. “Special recognition is due to the soldiers of the 68th Separate Jäger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade, the 38th Separate Marine Brigade, the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade, and the 126th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, who are effectively destroying the enemy, inflicting significant losses in personnel and equipment,” the General Staff emphasized.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted three assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army carried out offensive actions near Hlushkivka and Lozova. Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks, with one clash still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 19 assaults on Defense Forces positions near Hrekivka, Pershotravneve, Nadiya, Tverdokhlibove, Kopanky, Novoyehorivka, Novoplatonivka, and Makiivka. Four battles remain underway.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy conducted 14 assaults on Ukrainian military positions near Stupochky and Chasiv Yar. Two clashes are still in progress.
In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy assaults near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, with two ongoing clashes.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 48 attacks since the beginning of the day in the areas of Zelene Polye, Vovkove, Novoelyzavetivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zelene, Pokrovsk, Novyi Trud, Pershotravneve, and Shevchenko.
