Gal Gadot shares photo of hostage Liri Albag to 108m followers
Israeli actress Gal Gadot shared a photo of hostage Liri Albag to her 108 million Instagram followers on Sunday.
“This is Liri, only 19 years old. She was abducted by Hamas on October 7th,” Gadot wrote, adding “Yesterday, we received a sign of life from Liri – a sign that sharpened the pain that Liri, along with 99 other hostages, has been held captive in Hamas tunnels for over 450 days.”
The actress referred to her upcoming participation at the Golden Globes award ceremony, stating, “While I prepare for a festive and joyous evening, my heart is heavy, and my soul aches knowing the hostages are still there.”
“Every day that passes without an agreement puts their lives in greater danger,” she wrote.
“We all deserve to see them return, alive. Bring them home now.”
‘Just dozens of kilometers away’
On Saturday, Hamas published a video showing a sign of life from Albag.
The Hostages Families Forum cited Albag’s family as saying in reaction, “Today’s video has torn our hearts to pieces. This is not the daughter and sister we know. She is not well – her severe psychological distress is evident.”
“We watched our heroic Liri surviving and pleading for her life. She is just dozens of kilometers away from us, yet for 456 days, we have been unable to bring her home,” her family further stated.
Albag was one of the female IDF observers kidnapped from Nahal Oz on October 7.
