There were 155 combat engagements in the frontline, with the largest number of attacks recorded in the Pokrovsk sector – 74 times. The enemy also actively attacked in the Toretsk, Lyman and Novopavlivka sectors.
There were 155 combat engagements in the frontline. The situation on the Pokrovsk and Kursk directions remains tense – the enemy is concentrating its main offensive efforts there. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.
Details
In the Kharkiv sector , the occupants stormed the area of Vovchansk twice.
In the Kupyansk sector , terrorists attacked twice near Lozova and Dvorichna.
In the Liman sector , enemy troops attacked 15 times in the areas of Novosergiyivka, Zelenyi Hai, Shyikivka, Pershotravneve, Makiivka, Zarichne and Terny.
In the Northern sector , the enemy conducted 4 attacks in the area of Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector , the aggressor attacked 11 times in the area of Chasovyi Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk sector , the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 16 enemy attacks in the areas of Bila Hora, Krymske and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk sector , the enemy attacked 74 times in the areas of Baranivka, Zelene Pole, Yelizavetivka, Tarasivka, Nova Poltava, Novotoretske, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Promin, Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Udachne, Novovasylivka, Uspenivka, Petropavlivka , Novoandriivka, Slovianka, Sribne, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Dachne and Yantarne. —>READ MORE HERE
Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 13:
As of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on January 13, there have been 155 combat encounters on the front lines. The situation in the Pokrovsk and Kursk directions remains tense, with the enemy concentrating its main offensive efforts there, reports the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian shelling
On January 13, Russia launched 41 airstrikes, dropping 62 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, the Russian army deployed 684 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,730 shellings of Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas.
Frontline situation
In the Pokrovsk direction, throughout the day, the Russian army launched 74 attacks on our positions in the areas of the settlements Baranivka, Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Tarasivka, Nova Poltava, Novotoretske, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Promin, Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Udachne, Novovasylivka, Uspenivka, Petropavlivka, Novoandriivka, Sloviansk, Sribne, Andriivka, Kurakhove, Dachne, and Yantarne. Five combat engagements are still ongoing.
“According to preliminary estimates, today the Russian army in the Pokrovsk direction lost 218 servicemen killed and wounded. Our forces destroyed two units of enemy vehicles and a motorcycle. Ukrainian defenders also inflicted significant damage to a multiple rocket launcher system and a cannon,” the report stated.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue operations in the Kursk region, where our troops successfully repelled 11 enemy attacks.
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched two assaults on the positions of our units near Vovchansk.
The enemy attacked our positions twice in the Kupiansk direction, near the settlements of Lozova and Dvorichna. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian defenders 15 times today in the areas of the settlements Novoserhiivka, Zelnyi Hai, Shiykivka, Pershotravneve, Makiivka, Zarichne, and Terny. Two combat engagements are ongoing. —>READ MORE HERE
