Biden Shatters Democrats’ Sacred Norms To Turn Pardons Into ‘Get Out Of Jail Free’ Cards
Remember when Democrats impeached a president because he asked the leader of a notoriously corrupt country about corruption as it related to a now-demonstrably corrupt Joe Biden? Those were good times.
Biden in his final hours as president left everything on the field, issuing preemptive criminal pardons of not only his favorite little warmongress Liz Cheney but also one for Anthony Fauci that curiously spans 10 years. He also issued blanket pardons for the same 10-year duration to his brother James, his brother Francis, and James’ wife, as well as to Biden’s sister and her husband.
Imagine Donald Trump issuing a single pardon covering even just one specific crime to anyone bearing the same surname, let alone a pardon encompassing unlimited unnamed federal crimes that may have taken place at any point within a decade.
This of course comes just a few weeks after Biden pardoned his own son Hunter who was convicted of three felonies. But, as with the aforementioned pardon recipients, infinite other crimes Hunter may have committed within 10 years were also pardoned without ever having been charged.
If nothing else, I never want to hear a Democrat talk about “the norms,” “decency,” and how “no one is above the law” ever again. This isn’t about them failing to live up to their own professed principles. They never held them to begin with, and they’re only showing it now because they lost the 2024 election to a man they swore was Hitler.
The pardon was intended to be a gravely serious executive power, and it was highly contested even among the founders as to whether such a level of authority should be bestowed on one man. A presidential pardon is also supposed to be implemented as an act of mercy. Biden turned it into a literal “get out of jail free” card.
Every pardon granted until now was either for explicit crimes or for obvious criminal charges to be preempted. Richard Nixon was pardoned preemptively, but everyone knew the crimes he was alleged to have committed. What the hell did all of Biden’s prominent recipients do that they need a sweeping pardon excusing potentially criminal behavior going back as far as 2014? What did his sister do? What did her husband do? Is Diddy involved?
The depravity of the Bidens evidently runs to their blackened core. It’s impossible not to shudder thinking about it.
