The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office charged Yordy Noe Centeno-Melchor with second degree attempted kidnapping in connection with the December 31 incident in Holtville, according to court records cited by WAKA-TV.

Surveillance video showed a bystander approaching Centeno-Melchor, causing him to abandon the alleged kidnapping attempt and flee, according to police.
Sheriff Franklin said the video captured his license plate number, leading investigators to a 2017 black Mitsubishi.
Sheriff’s deputies in the town of Clanton pulled over that same car on January 3 for a traffic violation and arrested Centeno-Melchor.
He’s being held in jail and was given a $100,000 cash bail by a judge during his first court appearance on Monday.
Sheriff Franklin added that three days before the attempted kidnapping, Centeno-Melchor matched the description of a man who was found in a Walmart women’s bathroom in nearby Prattville. Franklin said there was a teenage girl in the bathroom. —>READ MORE HERE
