INVADER NEWS: Fugitive ‘hitman’ from El Salvador Arrested While Illegally Hiding Out in Seattle: ICE; ICE Arrests Notorious El Salvador ‘hitman’ Living the Quiet Life in Seattle
Fugitive ‘hitman’ from El Salvador arrested while illegally hiding out in Seattle: ICE
An accused hitman from El Salvador was arrested hiding out in Seattle this week as part of the Trump administration’s ongoing raids cracking down on dangerous illegal migrants, the feds said.
Jose Marin-Lozano, who is wanted in his native country on a spate of murder charges — including of a cop — was nabbed on Tuesday, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.
The 47-year-old’s bust comes after El Salvador cops had issued a warrant for his arrest on aggravated homicide charges back in September 2020, the feds said.
Police then issued a second warrant in June 2021 for aggravated homicide, proposition and conspiracy in the crime of aggravated homicide, ICE added.
He was being hunted in El Salvador over the 2018 kidnapping and murder of a man while he was working as a police officer, local outlet Le Prensa Grafica reported.
Marin-Lozano, who was allegedly a member of a hitman law enforcement gang, was acquitted of the charges before a court later overturned the ruling and ordered a retrial.
Other alleged members of the gang were ultimately convicted and sentenced to prison. —>READ MORE HERE
ICE arrests notorious El Salvador ‘hitman’ living the quiet life in Seattle:
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have apprehended an alleged El Salvadoran hitman who was apparently living a quiet life in Seattle.
Jose Marin-Lozano, 47, was arrested Tuesday in the liberal city, where he has been living illegally for the past few years.
Authorities noted that police in El Salvador issued a warrant for his arrest on aggravated homicide charges in 2020.
The following year, police issued another warrant for aggravated homicide, proposition and conspiracy in the crime of aggravated homicide, ICE claimed.
Marin-Lozano had previously been accused of kidnapping and killing a civilian in 2018 while working as a police officer, La Prensa Grafica reported.
He was acquitted of the charges by a San Salvador Sentencing Court, but years later a criminal court overturned the decision and ordered a retrial after a sergeant came forward as a witness.
Other members of the Zacatecoluca police gang – known for assassinating targets- have since been convicted and sentenced to prison, but Marin-Lozano apparently fled to the United States.
It is unclear when or how he arrived in the country, ICE officials said – though they noted it was not done lawfully.
He has had no criminal charges in Washington state, and only received a civil infraction on October 27, 2022 for speeding in Normandy Park, the Post Millennial reports.
Federal law enforcement told the outlet they suspect Marin-Lozano was trying to keep a low profile.
But they admitted that he is a documented member of the police gang of ‘hired killers,’ with El Salvador officials saying he committed the 2018 kidnapping and murder alongside four other officers. —>READ MORE HERE
