Border czar Tom Homan on Sunday insisted he was right to ask the feds if lefty New York City Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez “crossed the line’’ by providing migrants with tips to dodge the law.

Ocasio-Cortez’s office last week hosted a webinar featuring a “Know Your Rights in Case of ICE” guide that encourages migrants not to open their doors to the feds if officers don’t produce a warrant.

Homan has said he wants clarity from the Justice Department on whether she was “crossing the line” with the event.

“I’m suggesting that I would ask the Department of Justice, where’s that line on [law-enforcement] impediment, right?” Homan, 63, told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “That’s a broad statute.

“You can call it ‘know your rights’ all you want,” he said of the webinar, which aired on the congresswoman’s Facebook page. “I think it’s more about how they evade law enforcement not to get arrested, even though there’s a federal warrant for your arrest, how they evade that, rather than ‘know your rights.’ “

Ocasio-Cortez, 35, did not participate in the webinar.

Homan revealed Friday to Fox News host Laura Ingraham that he had sent an email to the deputy attorney general about Ocasio-Cortez’s office promoting the event.

“Is that impeding our law-enforcement efforts? If so, what are we going to do about it?” Homan told Ingraham last week. “Maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now. … Impediment is impediment, in my opinion.”

During the webinar, an expert from the Immigrant Defense Project claimed that her team has “very, very, rarely” seen instances in which US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents actually had judicial warrants. —>READ MORE HERE

Tom Homan tore into Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her ‘webinar’ teaching illegal migrants how to evade immigration enforcement.

President Donald Trump’s border czar has asked the Department of Justice to define for him what would constitute as ‘impeding’ on his agents’ abilities to conduct their raids rounding up illegal immigrants.

AOC, a progressive from New York, has released over the last few weeks multiple videos and resources for migrants, including hosting an education webinar on her social media instructing those illegally in the U.S. on whether they have to comply with officials carrying out Trump’s deportation orders.

Homan now suggests that AOC is breaking the law and says that Attorneys General often interpret the definition of ‘impeding law enforcement’ differently.

He has asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to tell him whether Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s actions are criminal and ‘where to draw the line’ on ‘impeding.’

‘When you sit down with people who are wanted by us – criminal aliens that have been ordered to be deported by the United States government and ignore that order – if you and I ignore that order we’d be sitting in prison.’

‘They ignored an order from a federal judge, they’re hiding in a home and she’s telling them not to open the door,’ Homan said in an interview on State of the Union.

‘Now, I’m not saying that’s illegal,’ he insisted to CNN host Dana Bash on Sunday. ‘What I’m saying is I asked the Attorney General at what point is it impeding and what point is it not impeding?’
