Migrant busted in Times Square mob attack on NYPD cops hit with 2-year sentence:

A Venezuelan migrant nabbed in a cowardly gang attack on two of New York’s Finest in Times Square was sentenced to two years behind bars on Monday.

Yorman Reveron, 25, scowled in Manhattan Supreme Court as he was sentenced on assault charges stemming from the shocking caught-on-video mob attack on the cops on Jan. 27, 2024, as part of a plea deal that included an unrelated petty larceny charge.

Only after he spotted a friendly face in the courtroom did Reveron break into a wide smile.

“We recommend two years and time served,” prosecutor Zachary Kotin told Judge Laura Ward.

At least eight migrants were caught on video attacking the officers, who approached the rowdy group — at least two of whom were identified by federal immigrations authorities as reputed members of the violent Venezuelan street gang Tren de Aragua.

The mob then turned on the cops and pummeled the outnumbered officers before running off. —>READ MORE HERE

Migrant convicted of attacking Times Square cops grins as he’s sentenced to prison; police union seeks deportation

A migrant convicted of assaulting two cops in Times Square during a wild brawl that made headlines last year grinned as he was sentenced to two years behind bars, something a police union says is not enough.

Venezuelan native Yorman Reveron was convicted on assault and petit larceny charges for his role in the infamous, massive brawl on Jan 27, 2024, outside a migrant shelter at West 42nd Street and 7th Avenue. During the beatdown, he roughed up the officers by shoving them to the ground as they attempted to arrest around eight unruly individuals who, police say, were impeding pedestrian traffic.

Reveron was sentenced on March 4, 2025, to two years behind bars, but the convicted man seemed to shrug off the sentence with a grin.

Police Benevolent Association Patrick Hendry said that while he is happy Reveron is doing time for the attack, he says the punishment is not enough.

“We’re glad that this vicious cop-basher is staying behind bars, but a few years in jail aren’t going to change him. He attacked two New York City police officers while he was out on supervised release for a previous crime,” Hendry said. “He has zero respect for the law and cannot be allowed back on our streets. If he’s in the country illegally, he needs to be deported immediately upon completing his sentence,” Hendry said.

In February Ulises Bohorquez pled guilty to his own part in the beatdown. He said he saw the cops attacking another person and stepped in to defend them. However, he changed his story on Monday and withdrew his original plea. He was sentenced to a year in state prison. —>READ MORE HERE
