Planned Parenthood facilities across the United States agreed to help someone they believed to be a teenager obtain cross-sex hormones, audio released by Live Action alleges.
The undercover investigator, disguised as a gender-confused 16-year-old girl, called several Planned Parenthood locations across New York and Minnesota to inquire about getting a testosterone prescription after she “just decided last week” that she wanted to lean into transgenderism.
All of the facilities agreed over the phone to help the alleged teen book an “initial appointment” and secure the prescription, despite her age, hesitancy about including her mom in the process, and lack of proof that she had received gender-related counseling or therapy.
The Planned Parenthood in Mankato, Minnesota, confirmed that the caller, despite claiming to be under 18 years old, was still “good to be seen here.”
“You’re okay to do it for minors?” the investigator asked another Planned Parenthood in Little Canada, Minnesota.
“Yes,” the Planned Parenthood employee confirmed. “You can legally get hormones under 18.”
Planned Parenthood’s Greater New York location even reassured the caller that her mother could be excluded from parts of the appointment.
“I know my mom has to come in with me. Does she have to be in there the whole time? Like, how does that work? Because I don’t know if I’m comfortable with that,” the investigator asked.
“At some point of the appointment, maybe she doesn’t have to be in the examining room with you,” the Planned Parenthood employee suggested.
The Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and Mankato Planned Parenthoods even offered to give the girl virtual consultations.
“So I just talk to a doctor, and then they’d be able to prescribe me?” the investigator asked
“If it’s virtual, you’ll still meet with the doctor and then go over, like, all necessary information. In the end, they will then be prescribing hormones that would then be scripted out to, like, your local pharmacy,” the Mankato Planned Parenthood employee explained.
The Greater New York and Mankato Planned Parenthood receptionists hinted that a hormone prescription for the girl could be ready the same or the next day.
“There’s nothing that I need before, right? Like, I don’t need to, like, have records of meeting with a therapist or anything, right? Because my parents definitely aren’t gonna let me do that,” the investigator continued.
The Great New York, Little Canada, and Mankato Planned Parenthood locations all confirmed that a teenager with parents wary of physical gender-bending could obtain a hormone prescription despite never receiving therapy for her gender confusion.
“Our undercover reporting has exposed a chilling reality: Planned Parenthood is fast-tracking vulnerable children into irreversible hormone treatments with almost no medical oversight. These dangerous drugs can sterilize, stunt growth, and leave lifelong scars. This is not healthcare. It is child abuse, and it must be stopped,” Live Action President and Founder Lila Rose said in a statement.
The audio exposé comes on the heels of a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services review, which determined there was never any evidence to support the radical gender ideology that infected American institutions. It also comes as the Republican-controlled Congress weighs whether to strip, via reconciliation, Planned Parenthood of nearly $700 million in taxpayer funds.
In 2021, an ex-Planned Parenthood employee admitted that “trans identifying kids are cash cows, and they are kept on the hook for the foreseeable future in terms of follow-up appointments, bloodwork, meetings, etc.”
Four years later, Planned Parenthood’s quest to expand its presence as a prescriber of cross-sex hormones continues. Politico reported in April that the abortion giant applied its deceptive activism tactics to advance radical gender ideology in Democrat-run states like California.
