IDF says it is investigating strike near Rafah aid distribution point
The IDF on Sunday said that it was unaware of injuries caused by military fire within the humanitarian distribution zone, after news of an alleged Israeli strike in the area killed at least 30, according to Palestinian and Hamas-affiliated media.
The IDF later said that the matter is being reviewed.
The strike was reportedly carried out near the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s (GHF) distribution center in Rafah in southern Gaza.
GHF’s three food distribution centers
On Thursday, the GHF opened its third food distribution center, located in central Gaza. Two other food centers previously opened near Rafah in deep southern Gaza, and one more is still due to open in Khan Yunis in mid-southern Gaza.
