Video of Father Singing a Worship Song to His Preemie Baby Goes Viral
A TikTok video of a Texas father singing a worship song to his son born prematurely is going viral.
Daniel Johnson shared footage his wife recorded of him singing Elevation Worship’s “Hallelujah Here Below” to his son at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas.
Johnson captioned the Dec. 20 video, “Remington Hayze Johnson. Proof that God is faithful. Born four months early and given a 21% chance of survival. Today we are 2 1/2 months old, giving God all the praise He deserves.”
In the video, Remington is seen raising his right hand as his father sings the worship song to him.

“The minute the word ‘hallelujah’ comes out of his mouth for him, to extend his arm like that, there’s not an experience like it,” Remington’s mother, Emily Johnson, told Good Morning America, according to Fox News. “It really shows you in that moment. God is here … and everything is going to be OK.”
“Baby’s hands went right up on Hallelujah,” one TikTok user wrote. “The highest praise … be exalted, Father.”
Another wrote: “One of the most beautiful NICU baby videos I’ve ever seen. I was in awe and about to cry too!”
In an interview with Storyful, Emily said that NICU doctors told her that her premature son had a 21 percent chance of surviving his first 24 hours after birth.
She said Remington “amazed doctors with his strength.”
Remington was born early at 22 weeks on Oct. 10, 2022.
“We went from a full respirator with full feeds, had to have his eyes covered up all the time, had to be in an isolette that was regulating his temperature for him to … a CPAP, from the CPAP to the nasal cannula, and now they’re weaning him off of that. And we’ve gone from having meds every three to six hours to he’s off all medications now,” Emily said.
