Exhausted, underpaid Manitoba nurse doesn’t even like hockey

WINNIPEG – An overworked and poorly compensated nurse who could have been paid with a ticket to a playoff game doesn’t even like hockey.

Tammy Marshall, an RN at Winnipeg’s Health Science Centre responsible for taking care of critically ill COVID-19 patients, failed to appreciate the Manitoba government’s gesture of allowing 500 health care workers to watch the event in person.

“How could she not apply for a free pass to such an important game?” said Premier Brian Pallister. “I mean you’re welcome, I guess.”

Marshall failed to follow the Winnipeg Jets successful season and its four game sweep of the Edmonton Oilers due to the poor excuse of “60 hour work weeks” and having no interest in Canada’s national sport.

At press time, the nurse could not secure the time off to attend the game anyway due to seniority rules.
