Jesus' Coming Back

Opinion: I don’t think you should have rights, but that’s no reason to be mean to me

Jasper, TX – Back in my day, we could talk politics in an objective and fair way. As far as I know, there hasn’t been any kind of civil unrest or movement in the last 50 years in this country. But now, I feel like every time I say any little thing about a whole group of people being unfit for basic human rights, people get upset and angry.

I’m not asking for much, I am just asking that the people who I think shouldn’t be called people would stop being rude to me.

It’s just not called for. In this country, we should be free to debate freely, without concern for our feelings being hurt. I find it pretty rich that your people who claim they need to be protected from hate speech would lower themselves to slurs like “boomer.” First of all, I don’t think we should limit free speech. Second, I think we should make just the term “boomer” illegal to say. Third, I hate you, stop being rude to me. Fourth, I don’t know what “ratioing” is, and I shouldn’t be “ratioed” just because I think millennials don’t say thank you enough. Fifth, stop hurting my feelings.

I want people to be less sensitive because I don’t know how to express my feelings, it’s that simple really.

What can I say, I love to play devil’s advocate! I love a heated debate when two sides are bringing up important facts in order to find a reasonable conclusion! Reasonable conclusions being defined as “what I agree with.”

Hitler was a great orator! Slavery was so essential for making America great! Pizza should be eaten crust first! These are the kinds of things I love to bring up while someone is discussing the weather in order to have a more intelligent conversation. But now all of the sudden your people get upset when I just state objective facts! Also, don’t you dare come to me saying that statistics are objective facts, objective facts are defined by a process only I can determine through criteria I will not share.

All this to say, I hope I’ve been able to convince your people that just because the two sides of an argument are “I’m wrong” or “you shouldn’t be allowed to live” doesn’t mean we can’t talk about this subject without bringing emotion into it. All I’m asking for is some good ol’ fashioned respect. For me at least, not for you.

Also, I don’t like Italians.
