Elon Musk assures users his latest tweet too funny to be antisemitic

SAN FRANCISCO – Following backlash against his latest tweet that once again indulges in antisemitic conspiracy theories against , CEO Elon Musk has assured users that his tweet can’t be offensive because it is so hilarious.

Musk’s tweet declares, “Soros reminds me of Magneto”, in reference to the Marvel comics supervillain who, like Soros, was also a Holocaust survivor. “See, comedy gold,” Musk then added, regarding his comparison of a fictional magnetism-wielding evil mutant responsible for the deaths of countless human beings, and a progressive philanthropist.

Musk continued on his insistence that his tweet was “super lulz” and not in fact mild hate speech. “I’m a very smart guy who knows all about building rockets that don’t explode and electric that don’t drive themselves into walls. So you can trust me when I say the math checks out on my tweet’s hilariousness.”

“Also, George Soros wants to erode the very fabric of civilization, and hates humanity. Bazinga!”

While many remaining Twitter users reacted to Musk’s tweets with incredulity or even disgust, the world’s richest man insists that it won humorous acclaim from his chauffeur, his current wife, and the entirety of the 4chan message board.

Musk then set out about further explaining the joke. “I don’t think you’re picturing how funny it is. Imagine tiny little old George Soros, and he’s in a purple helmet and cape, and also he’s manipulating the world’s financial markets along with his shadowy globalist brethren as part of his great replacement scheme. Teehee!”

Reacting to Musk’s claim that his Soros tweet is in fact a “real gutbuster”, researchers at Harvard University attempted to dissect the tweet to determine its comedic properties. “We’re hard at consulting with researchers, as well as the Lampoon and Hasty Pudding organizations,” noted Dr. David Reynolds of Harvard’s linguistic analysis department. “If Elon Musk has any sense of humor at all, we will find it”.

Meanwhile Sarah Abrams of the Anti-Defamation League responded that Musk’s tweet “broke our instruments.”

Across the Twitter website, numerous users responded to Musk’s “Soros = Magneto” tweets.

“I don’t how Twitter is now full of alt-right conspiracy theories, but what other site can I go to to scream at strangers about superhero I like?” noted user @RereleaseTheSnyderCut.

“Elon Musk is right about Soros, and I’m sure he’ll tell me I’m right to withhold alimony if I keep paying him $8 every month,” added verified user @SpaceXXXrated.

“You’re right Elon, we DO need to do something about the Jewish Question. Send Text Message,” replied user @realDonaldTrump.

Reached for comment, 92-year-old George Soros responded, “What the hell is a Twitter?”

At press time Musk is reportedly preparing his next comedic broadside against Soros, just as soon as he finds the right meme to steal from Reddit.
