LOS ANGELES—Just hours after Marvel announced they dropped the newly disgraced actor from all upcoming projects, DC Studios confirmed Tuesday it had signed Jonathan Majors to a $20 million contract. “We are so excited to welcome Jonathan Majors to the DC universe, and we can’t wait to see him act alongside our best and brightest talent on the big screen,” said DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn, adding that Majors’ wealth of experience portraying Kang the Conqueror in Marvel’s Ant-Man franchise made him perfect to star in some of DC’s most exciting new projects. “Despite his recent legal troubles, we believe in him and know that Jonathan will thrive in a structured, supportive environment that only franchises like Aquaman, Justice League, and The Flash can provide. We’re confident that Jonathan’s worst days are behind him, and that all of us can help him adopt a new superhero persona, heal, and move on.” At press time, DC announced that Jonathan Majors would be starring in a big budget, multi-sequel franchise alongside Ezra Miller as The Flash.
