Jesus' Coming Back

Op-Ed: If Jesus Supports Forgiveness, How Can Christians Not Support Robbing Poor People To Pay For My Journalism Degree?

Hypocrisy, thy name is Christian who won’t rob a poor to pay off my journalism degree from Delaware State University.

I am utterly disgusted at the number of so-called Christians who ask Jesus to forgive their sins, yet do not support the government stealing money from people at gunpoint to pay my loans. In one breath, Christians ask for forgiveness — then in the next breath, they refuse to rob people and give me the money. The hypocrisy is truly sickening.

How can you profess belief in a forgiving God, yet not support taking money away from the poor and giving it to the rich to “forgive” our debts? Christians literally speak of Christ having “paid their debt”! If you really believe Jesus paid the debt for your sins, you must also believe in paying the tuition for my “cultural experience” semester in Jamaica. It’s as simple as that.

If they weren’t such impostors, Christians would be leading the call for forgiving my mortgage, the loan on my Camry, and the DoorDash I just ordered from Spoonful Of Pho. Instead, they are out there selfishly saying things like, “Jesus did not teach taking money from the poor to give to the wealthy” — and other such unhelpful nonsense. Forgiveness means giving me cash, hypocrite!

For anyone who wants to get out there and start forgiving like a real Christian, please feel free to personally rob a poor and send me the cash. We don’t need to wait for the government to do it for us!
