Temu Shopper Disappointed By Quality Of $1 Blender
PLYMOUTH, MI—Expressing frustration with what she sees as a widespread decline in the quality of consumer goods, area Temu shopper Chelsea Owens told reporters Wednesday she was disappointed with the merits of a blender she purchased for $1 on the discount e-commerce platform. “What the hell? The app gives it a 4.9 rating, but the blades are all bendy and dull and it didn’t even come with a lid,” said Owens, who called her investment in the kitchen appliance “a complete waste” and observed that it had burst into flames the first time she used it, seemingly a result of the blades encountering too much friction against a handful of banana chunks. “It sucks to think a site like Temu would just take someone’s money and send them a shoddy product, but apparently that’s what happened. I was counting on them to be honest when I sent them my hard-earned dollar. It’s such a shame.” At press time, Owens had reportedly picked up her phone to write a damning review of the faulty blender when she was distracted by a Temu link to a sleek $4 air fryer.
