NHL fans excited to watch their team’s 5 remaining uninjured players when regular season begins
TORONTO – In the midst of a preseason that has lasted approximately 6 months, hockey fans are excited to watch the few players on their team healthy enough to play when the regular season begins.
“Oh man, I can’t wait to watch David Reinbacher and Patrick Laine suit up for my Habs,” said Canadiens fan Mark Kearns. “I haven’t really been following any of the preseason news but I assume they both look great right?”
“Shit really? Well the Kings are my Western Conference team. How’s Doughty looking?”
Throughout the league fans have been thrilled to see their team’s lineup come together and then be immediately torn up by injuries during meaningless exhibition games.
“I can’t wait for the home opener. It’s going to be so awesome taking my kid and pointing out all the players in suits because they’re too banged up to play,” said Sens fan Steve Kovach.
“He’s got his Tim Stutzle jersey all ready, so at least one person will be wearing it on opening night.”
Asked what can be done to limit the amount of injuries sustained in the preseason the NHL head office advised that they are considering adding more games in order to help players get in shape quicker.
