Churchapalooza showcases new Christian ACDC cover band ADBC
SALT LAKE CITY – North America’s biggest Christian rock music festival, Churchapalooza, is excited to announce their newest headliner and this year’s most talked about group – the AC/DC cover band, AD/BC.
AD/BC – which true fans know stands for “Anno Domini” and “Before Christ” – shot to number 1 on the God 100 chart this year with their hit single Highway to Hallelujah. This was enough to garner them an invitation to the four-day festival, which will take place January 10-13 at Library Square.
“We couldn’t be more blessed to be joining,” says AD/BC lead vocalist Dave Heavens. “We can’t wait to rock, roll, and repent!”
The band plans to debut some of their new songs, including Whole Lotta Rosaries, You Sacrament All Night Long, Hell IS a Bad Place to Be, and Sin City.
“We didn’t even need to change the title of that last one,” says AD/BC guitarist Christ Slade. “We just changed the lyrics to be about breaking The Ten Commandments.”
AD/BC fans have been buzzing over the news.
“I can’t wait!” says Jenny Harris, sporting an AD/BC neck tattoo. “I know it’s their earlier stuff, but I really hope they play Bedless in Bethlehem.”
“Well, I hope they play Back I’m Back, about Jesus’ resurrection,” chimes in Owen Kent, who then along with Harris started singing the song’s hit lyrics “I’m back and feelin’ fine, let’s get this party started n’ turn some water into wine!”
“I plan to get VIP tickets, because they’ve changed my life!” says AD/BC fan club president Trevor Dane “AC/DC made me an atheist, but AD/BC made me believe again!”
AD/BC will join more than 160 musicians scheduled to play at the fest, including The Carpenter, The Preach Boys, Rad Religion, and Genesis.
