COLUMBUS, OH — A local couple was delighted to find that their house had nearly doubled in value after getting egged by a band of teenage hooligans last Saturday.
According to Jenn and Jake Cooper, their $529,000, 2,700 square foot family home is now valued at over a million dollars, thanks to the efforts of the neighbor kids, who splattered the home with about four dozen eggs.
“I’m just so delighted,” Jake Cooper said as he got off the phone with his realtor. “I can’t even be mad about them blasting ‘Eggman’ by the Beastie Boys at 2:30 in the morning. I’m gonna be able to retire early at this rate. Hawaii, here we come!”
According to several realtors in the area, the Cooper home has now become one of the hottest homes on the market.
“It’s got it all — a great location, beautiful architecture, and a facade covered in eggs,” said realtor Brent Gathler. “I wish I owned a house like that. Even in today’s housing market, it’s a luxury that only the most elite can hope to find.”
At publishing time, the home had gained an additional $40,000 of value after Jake Cooper discovered the neighbor kids had accidentally left a half-full carton of eggs in the front lawn.
