“We are not for sale” state Juno winners and stars who work primarily in United States

Vancouver, USA – Celebrities who attended the 2025 Juno awards had a firm and clear theme for the night’s proceedings, that their talents which they mostly perform in the United States are only for Canada.

“We are the greatest nation on earth,” said Míchael Bublé, likely speaking of the United States where he had a particularly successful run in Las Vegas. “We are not for sale. Unless I am being offered gigs at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the FLA Live Arena in Florida, or the American Airlines Center in Dallas.”

With Canada facing the escalation of trade war that appears to have no end in sight, audiences found the messages of Canadian pride deeply refreshing, especially when this pride came from real celebrities from the States and not fake, boring ones from Canada.

“We owe everything to Canadians,” stated the lead singer of Sum 41, a band who sold four times as many albums in the United States as Canada during their long career. “Tonight is about our country… Canada! Sorry for the hesitation, that is what I was always going to say.”

Tate McRae was the absolute winner of the award ceremony, taking home awards for best single, album, artist, and pop album of the year. The recent Saturday Night Live performer was not in attendance to claim her prizes, as she had been bought already by a different country for the evening, she did send texts of support for her soon to be ex-home and that she was “Canada-strong.”

Canadian artists Snotty Nose Rez Kids, The Beaches, and Josh Ross filled the night with their iconic hits and resonated the Canadian pride viewers were experiencing. “We are Canada first,” yelled lead singer Jordan Miller. “Unless we break into the American scene as we’re in talks with a few producers there but until then…I AM CANADIAN!”
