Newly Discovered Third Epistle To Timothy Features Paul Warning Him Against Starting A Podcast

EPHESUS — An ancient document discovered in the region of Ephesus may be a long-lost third letter to Timothy, where Paul warns the young preacher not to start a podcast, say researchers.
“This new letter sheds light on the prevalence of first-century podcasts and Paul’s absolute hatred of them,” reported Dr. Hillary Saxford, an Oxford University papyrologist on staff at the Centre for the Study of Ancient Documents. “It appears Paul thought the podcast market was oversaturated, and the very thought of Timothy starting his own was, in the apostle’s own words, ‘cringe’.”
Though only fragments of the letter survive, Paul’s disapproval of podcasts is quite clear:
“As I urged you in Macedonia, please do not start a podcast. Do not all peoples have a podcast? Verily, it is cringe. I charge you, my true child in the faith: do not podcast. We don’t need another podcast.”
Theologians are not prepared to add the new text to scripture, suggesting that not everything the apostles did was inspired by the Holy Spirit. “What we see here is Paul’s personal preference coming into view; we should not take it to mean it is sin for a Christian to start a podcast,” said Pastor Simon Alexander on his podcast Why I Am Right All The Time.
According to sources, it is likely that Timothy never received the letter. This would account for its omission from the sacred scriptures, as well as the success of the first-century podcast Sound Doctrine with Timothy.
At publishing time, additional analysis of the letter revealed an admonition by Paul to spend less time listening to true crime podcasts, going so far as to add it to the qualifications of elders.
