Bad Timing: Kilmar Abrego Garcia Honored With MS-13 ‘Employee Of The Month’ Award

HYATTSVILLE, MD — Any goodwill extended toward a controversially deported El Salvadorian man took a hit this week due to a case of bad timing, as Kilmar Abrego Garcia was honored with MS-13’s “Employee of the Month” award.
The awkward moment came on the heels of mainstream media outlets pushing back against the Trump administration’s assertion that there was no evidence to support claims that Abrego Garcia was a member of MS-13, leaving him to downplay his new award.
“This doesn’t prove anything,” said Paul Corben, a spokesman for Abrego Garcia’s legal team. “Kilmar, a devoted husband and father, is truly honored to be recognized as MS-13’s ‘Employee of the Month,’ but this in no way gives any credence to the notion that he is or ever has been a member of the gang. We all know that companies give out ‘Employee of the Month’ awards willy-nilly to anyone, not necessarily just employees. It happens all the time. Trust me.”
The local Maryland-based chapter of MS-13 even issued a full press release and took out a full-page ad in The Hyattsville Wire to make sure Abrego Garcia’s achievement received the recognition it deserved. “Thank you for your years of dedicated service to our organization, vato,” the ad read. “We could not have had such a successful month of doing illegal gang stuff without your hard work, ese. Muchas gracias, compinche. MS-13 wouldn’t be what it is without you.”
At publishing time, Terry Moran of ABC News was quick to report that this evidence was purely circumstantial and in no way provided any concrete link between MS-13 and the MS-13 “Employee of the Month” Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
The USA undeniably trumps our neighbors to the north.
