Evan Solomon asks ChatGPT “I’m Canada’s Minister of Artificial Intelligence. What should I do?”

OTTAWA – Newly-appointed Minister of Artificial Intelligence Evan Solomon reportedly spent his first day asking ChatGPT “Hi there, my name is Evan Solomon and I’m Canada’s Minister of AI. What should I do?”
“Since I’m the first ever Minister of Artificial Intelligence, I thought I’d see what ChatGPT has to say,” explained Solomon to reporters outside of Rideau Hall.
Solomon explained that the chatbot gave him “lots of helpful suggestions” about what his job could entail, and how he shouldn’t worry about regulating or generally overseeing Artificial Intelligence whatsoever.
“It was telling me all this stuff about ethics, and I started to wonder if I was the right person for the job,” added Solomon, who famously was fired from his job as a CBC anchor for brokering the sale of fine art to sitting politicians. “But then the ChatGPT googled who I was, and it told me I was definitely the right person for the job.”
When pressed further on what kind of responses he got from the chatbot, Solomon elaborated. “It said that as someone in my position I could look into ways of putting more money into AI, and also ways to incorporate its source code deep inside the government’s existing systems.”
Asked whether this was workable or even safe, Solomon responded “I’ll have to consult with ChatGPT— I mean, experts. Yes, I’ll talk to experts.”
At press time, Evan Solomon was consulting ChatGPT on ways to sell NFT Artworks to sitting Senators.
